Abstract

Imelda Private Junior High School Medan, the payment process is still done manually, the school fee payment process still uses manual methods and only relies on bookkeeping in the ledger. Manual processes tend to take a lot of time and human resources. In a situation where everything is moving towards digitalization, reliance on manual processes becomes inefficient. In addition, data recapitulation in manual processes is not always guaranteed, increasing the risk of bookkeeping errors that can have fatal consequences for school financial management. Manual processes do not support mobility and the availability of real-time information. In certain cases where a student or guardian wants to make a payment outside of school hours, the manual process becomes a significant obstacle. This also has an impact on the school's responsiveness to changing needs or payment requests from students or parents, therefore it is replaced with a computerized system. The purpose of designing a web-based tuition payment information system for Imelda Private Middle School, Medan. This aims to simplify the process of collecting tuition payment information at Imelda Private Middle School, Medan. This study uses data to compile school fee payments, the method used is a qualitative method, Interview Data Collection Method Visiting school administrative staff, teachers to conduct structured interviews to understand the needs and problems that need to be addressed in the payment system. Literature Study a series of activities related to library data collection methods, reading and recording, and managing research materials. Observation Method: Conducting direct observation of the ongoing payment process at the school to identify any problems or inefficiencies. This research aims to create a web-based tuition payment information system for Imelda Private Middle School, Medan. This system replaces manual payment methods with a faster and more accurate automated process, reduces the risk of errors, and improves data management order. This system makes payments more effective, and allows relevant parties to access information more easily. The efficiency of web-based tuition payments increases, data management becomes more structured, information processing becomes more efficient, and human errors and risks are minimized.
