Sistem Informasi Persediaan Bahan Habis Pakai Dan Inventaris Laboratorium Berbasis Web Pada Program Studi Sarjana Kedokteran Universitas Imelda Medan

Previously, the management of laboratory consumables and inventory at the Undergraduate Medicine Study Program, Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Universitas Imelda Medan, was conducted manually. This approach led to various issues, such as recording delays, administrative errors, and difficulties in obtaining accurate information quickly. These problems resulted in suboptimal inventory management and issues regarding the availability of laboratory supplies. This study aims to design and develop a web-based information system for managing laboratory consumables and inventory, capable of supporting the recording, control, and structured reporting of inventory data. The System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) method was employed, comprising the stages of planning, analysis, design, implementation, and testing. System design utilized Entity Relationship Diagrams (ERD), Data Flow Diagrams (DFD), and interface designs to illustrate system workflows and user requirements. The results indicate that the developed inventory information system facilitates the recording of incoming and outgoing items, manages category and user data, and generates accurate, real-time stock reports. The implementation of this system renders laboratory inventory management more effective and efficient while reducing the recording errors that frequently occurred in the past.
