PENERAPAN PRINSIP 12 BENAR DALAM PEMBERIAN OBAT: STUDI FENOMENOLOGI PENGALAMAN PRAKTEK KLINIS MAHASISWA KEPERAWATAN DI UNIVERSITAS A

Abstrak

Latar Belakang: Setiap mahasiswa keperawatan tentunya akan menjalani praktek klinikal dalam proses pendidikannya. Salah satu tuntutan dalam praktek klinikal yaitu penerapkan prinsip 12 benar dalam pemberian obat dapat mencegah terjadinya kesalahan dalam pemberian obat dan menjaga profesionalitas perawat. Namun masih banyak mahasiswa yang belum menerapkan prinsip 12 benar pemberian obat sehingga resiko terjadinya kesalahan dalam pemberian obat lebih besar. Tujuan: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menjelaskan bagaimana pengalaman praktek klinikal mahasiswa-mahasiswi keperawatan Universitas Advent Indonesia dalam penerapan prinsip 12 benar pemberian obat. Metode: Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan studi fenomenologi tentang pengalaman mahasiswa dalam menerapkan prinsip 12 benar pemberian obat pada saat melakukan praktek klinikal, data penelitian dikumpulkan melalui diskusi terarah yang terdiri dari 2 kelompok beranggotakan masing-masing 8 mahasiwa perawat UNAI yang dipilih menggunakan convience sampling, dimana mahasiswa yang terlibat merupakan mahasiswa perawat yang telah mengikuti praktek klinikal minimal 2 kali. Data hasil penelitian yang disimpan dalam bentuk rekaman kemudian akan ditranskrip dan di kelompokkan kedalam tema-tema yang sesuai. Hasil: Dari penelitian ini didapatkan hasil penelitian berupa pengalaman mahasiswa melakukan kesalahan, tantangan yang dihadapi mahasiswa, manfaat penerapan prinsip 12 benar dan cara mahasiswa mengatasi tantangan yang dialami. Kesimpulan: Penerapan prinsip 12 benar dalam praktik klinikal mahasiswa keperawatan UNAI membantu mahasiswa dalam mengembangkan kemampuan dan pengetahuan serta meningkatkan kepercayaan diri mahasiswa keperawatan UNAI. Saran: Untuk peneliti salanjutnya diharapkan dapat meneliti lebih dalam mengenai pengalaman praktek klinikal mahasiswa khususnya dalam menerapkan pirnisp 12 benar pemberian obat dengan lingkup yang lebih spesifik.
