Jurnal Ilmiah Perekam dan Informasi Kesehatan Imelda (JIPIKI) is owned and published by Program Studi D-III Rekam Medis dan Informasi Kesehatan APIKES Imelda Medan, which has transformed into Universitas Imelda Medan, located at Jl. Bilal No. 52 Kelurahan Pulo Brayan Darat I, Kecamatan Medan Timur, Medan - Sumatera Utara, Indonesia.

JIPIKI is a non-profit scholarly journal dedicated to supporting the dissemination of scientific research findings and the advancement of medical records management, health information management, and health informatics sciences in Indonesia.

All rights and responsibilities related to the journal's publication, management, and policies are held by Program Studi Rekam Medis dan Informasi Kesehatan Universitas Imelda Medan.

The journal operates independently of specific commercial interests. All editorial decisions are made independently by the Editorial Board based on scientific merit, academic quality, and the journal's established editorial policies.

2. Journal Management

Jurnal Ilmiah Perekam dan Informasi Kesehatan Imelda (JIPIKI) is managed by an Editorial Board consisting of an Editor-in-Chief, Managing Editor, Section Editors, and Peer Reviewers with expertise in health information management and related health sciences.

The journal's management is responsible for ensuring the quality, integrity, transparency, and sustainability of its scholarly publication activities. The main responsibilities include:

1. Editorial Policies: Establishing and implementing the journal's focus and scope, author guidelines, manuscript preparation requirements, and scientific quality standards for publication.
2. Peer Review Process: Organizing and conducting an objective and transparent peer review process while maintaining the confidentiality of authors' and reviewers' identities.
3. Publication Ethics: Ensuring that all submitted manuscripts comply with the principles of scientific integrity and ethical publishing. This includes preventing plagiarism, duplicate publication, data fabrication, and data falsification, in accordance with the guidelines established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
4. Publication Management: Managing publication schedules, final manuscript editing, article layout and formatting, online publication, and long-term archiving of published articles.
5. Administrative and Technical Management: Overseeing the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform, journal indexing activities, website maintenance, and other administrative and technical operations necessary to support the journal's publication process.

3. Funding and Editorial Independence

The publication and operational activities of Jurnal Ilmiah Perekam dan Informasi Kesehatan Imelda (JIPIKI) are financially supported by institutional funding from Universitas Imelda Medan and Article Processing Charges (APCs) where applicable.

Funding sources do not influence editorial decisions, manuscript evaluation, peer review procedures, or the acceptance and rejection of submitted manuscripts.

The Editorial Board maintains full independence in making publication decisions based on scientific quality, originality, relevance, and compliance with the journal's editorial and ethical standards.

4. Open Access and Copyright Policy

Jurnal Ilmiah Perekam dan Informasi Kesehatan Imelda (JIPIKI) adopts an Open Access publishing policy to ensure that scientific research findings are freely accessible to researchers, academics, healthcare professionals, students, and the general public.
